BIRTHDAYS TODAY—JUNE 14, 2022
CHE GUEVARA. 1928-1967 “Man and Socialism in Cuba”
THE TRUE REVOLUTIONARY IS GUIDED BY
GREAT FEELINGS OF LOVE.
BE REALISTIC, DEMAND THE IMPOSSIBLE!
EVERY PERSON has the truth in his heart. No matter how complicated his circumstances, no matter how others look at him from the outside, and no matter how deep or shallow the truth dwells in his heart, once his heart is pierced with a crystal needle, the truth will gush for like a geyser.
WE have no right to believe that FREEDOM can be won without struggle.
EVERY day people straighten up the hair, why not the heart?
ABOVE ALL, try always to feel deeply any injustice committed against any person in any part of the world. It is the most beautiful quality of the revolutionary.
LET the world change you and you can change the WORLD.
If you have the capacity to tremble with indignation every time an injustice is committed in the world, then we are comrades.
TO ACCOMPLISH MUCH YOU MUST FIRST LOSE EVERYTHING.
ONE HAS TO GROW HARD BUT
WITHOUT EVER LOSING TENDERNESS.
IT’S an illusion to think the matter can be resolved by words.

“UNCLE TOMS CABIN” Abe Lincoln: “So this is the lady who made this big war.”
NEVER GIVE UP, FOR THAT IS JUST THE PLACE
AND TIME THE TIDE WILL TURN.
IT’S a matter of taking the side of the weak against the strong, something the best people have always done.
THE TRUTH is the kindest thing we can give folks in the end.
THE bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone.
NO ornament of a house can compare with books; they are constant company in a room, even when you are not reading them.
So much has been said and sung of beautiful young girls, why doesn’t somebody wake yup to the beauty of old women.
THE PAST, the present and the future are really one: they are today.
COMMON SENSE IS SEEING THINGS AS THEY ARE; AND DOING THINGS AS THEY OUGHT TO BE.
THERE is more done with pens than with swords.
EYES THAT HAVE NEVER WEPT CANNOT COMPREHEND SORROW.
ONCE in an age God sends to some of us a friend who loves in us, not a false-imagining, an unreal character, but looking through the rubbish of our imperfections, loves in us the divine ideal of our nature,–loves, not the man that we are, but the angel that we may be.
TALK of the abuses of slavery! HUMBUG! The thing itself is the essence of all abuse!
HALF of the misery in the world comes of want of courage to speak and to hear the truth plainly and in the spirit of love.
FRIENDSHIPS ARE DISCOVERED RATHER THAN MADE.
ALL men are free and equal in the grave, if it comes to that.
IT is impossible to make anything beautiful or desirable in the best regulated administration of slavery.
ANY mind that is capable of real sorrow is capable of good.
IT takes years and maturity to make the discovery that the power of faith is nobler than the power of doubt; and there is a celestial window in the ingenuous propensity to trust, which belongs to honest and noble
natures.
THE NEGRO is an exotic of the most gorgeous and superb countries of the world, and he has deep in his heart a passion for all that is splendid, rich and fanciful.
